Surgery is very likely. But not for the hand pictured. But the right wrist, not pictured, has the same kind of splint on it.
Hand specialist #2 says hand specialist #1 was wrong wrong wrong.
I’ve had splints made for both wrists. Which means I can type a whole lot easier, and until we move onto the next steps, see above, I don’t have to saran & rubber band my right arm to shower.
But yeah, he thinks they’ll cut open my right palm by a few inches after drugging my arm out, fixing the broken bone, and i get another cast for a few weeks. As for the left arm, pictured, who knows, really. I still suspect something wrong with the ring finger.
